The pilot session of the WIDC Story & Leadership program

Part 1: Hosted at the Empire Landmark Hotel, Vancouver, director participants developed their fiction feature film projects through intensive script analysis and workshopping their scripts with an ensemble of ACTRA actors from across Canada.

Part 2: Presented in collaboration with the Whistler Film Festival, during this Industry Immersion, in addition to closed door sessions with industry experts, participants were provided festival passes to attend festival summit activities, screenings and one to one meetings.

Part 3: Story Polish, participants were offered an opportunity to polish a promotional one-page, receive script notes or feedback on their story treatment.

Part 4: Follow up, participants were offered a tailored follow up session with one of the program mentors.

Special Note: Jordan Canning was being presented with the WIDC Feature Film Award ($155,000 cash and in kind prize to complete her feature film Suck It Up); Mary Walsh who was the key note speaker at the WFF Filmmaker Luncheon.
