Naomi McCormack is a Canadian artist whose works span a diverse range of media and subject matter. She has created theatre, dance, installation and performance art works as well as directing a variety of film and television projects. Her films have screened in festivals across North America and Europe and been broadcast on national and cable television. Her work has been honoured with many Canadian and American awards, including a Canadian Screen Award (“Genie”) for her short film The Hangman’s Bride”. Her most recent release, Plural is adapted from a short story by her twin Judith McCormack and combines live action and artist’s animation in a fictionalized memoir about twinship.

McCormack has worked as a curator and programmer for various festivals and cultural institutions including the WOMAD Festival (U.K.), the Female Eye Festival, the Euclid Theatre and Harbourfront Centre, (Toronto) as well as teaching film at Penn State University.
