Megan’s career encompasses documentary, television, film, theater, magazines, blogs, and radio both in Canada and the U.S. She is the president and co-owner of Pyewackitt Productions, an independent production company with a commitment to create high quality, socially relevant programs with a unique perspective.

Currently, Megan is directing and producing The Buddy System, a documentary that focuses on the amazing impact that Buddy, a specially trained autism assistance dog, has on David, a young boy on the spectrum.  She also produced, directed and co-wrote the critically acclaimed documentary Trial By Fire: Lives Re-forged. The film was dubbed  “a must-see” by Real Screen, “emotionally potent” by the Los Angeles Times, and “a truly important film” by PBS International. Trial By Fire is  airing nationally on PBS.

Megan produced and directed Surrogate Stories, a two-hour special on surrogate mothers for the Women’s Entertainment Network, and helmed the one-hour documentaries, Child Brides and Polygamy, also for WeTV.

In Canada, Megan produced 24 short documentary films on celebrated individuals spanning all areas of the arts including film, architecture, design, music, writing, poetry, and dance. She produced, co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in Mad In Canada, a hit comedy revue that ran for a year in Toronto and Montreal, as well as co-writing and starring in 60 episodes of the national CBC comedy radio series, The Norm.

Megan is an alumna of the pilot WIDC session in Banff.
