Christina Ienna is a Canadian filmmaker and cinematographer based in Toronto, Ontario. She has extensive experience in narrative, commercial and documentary production. Her short documentary Handmade Film has won awards for “Best Cinematography” and “Best Short Film” on its festival run. Her music video Growing Younger by Michou, which she both shot and directed is a National Screen Institute 2016 selection. Christina spent five years in Alberta filming for companies such as VICE, CTV and TRAVEL ALBERTA. She also worked on Emmy-nominated and Canadian Screen Award-winning CBC three-part documentary series The Great Human Odyssey assisting the editor as a digital image technician and working as a camera assistant. She is one of the main cinematographers for the project’s mini documentary Making of a Film Score. Both films were recipients of Rosie Awards in 2015.
Christina is developing a feature documentary on fresh water surfers in the Great Lakes, as well as a futuristic fiction feature film that she is developing through WIDC.
