Carolyne’s filmmaking career began by studying acting in NY and LA before producing and directing her first short film Pizza 2-for-1, which placed as a finalist in the Chicago International Film Festival and received distribution in Canada and the US.
As a producer-director, Carolyne has created music videos for artists such as Grammy-award winners 54*40. Her clip for the legendary Canadian band was called “a genuine piece of art” by renowned author and philosopher Ken Wilbur of the Integral Institute, while her video Crash for Chad Brownlee was Canada’s Top Country Pick of the Week, calling it “nothing short of a great piece of art.”
Carolyne has received BC Country Music Award nominations for Video Director and Video of the Year. Her video Light It Up! (Aaron Pritchett) appeared on the Nashville Top 5 Gone Wild Music Video Chart, while her 2012 video for “Let it Be Me” (High Valley) went to No. 1 on the CMT Canada Chevy Top 20 Countdown. Supported by CMT, VideoFact and Factor grant funding, Carolyne’s clips have been broadcast across Canada on Country Music Television, CBC online, the Much/MuchMoreMusic Network, in the US on CMT, MTV and Entertainment Tonight Online, and in Australia on CMC.
Her writing credits include Story Editor on Solo starring Jon Voight and Cary Elwes, and as a film producer supported by BCFilm, Carolyne has attended the Cannes Marche du Film and Berlinale, at which she was proud to promote Underdogs: Born to Lose, her first feature film as writer-producer-director, shooter and editor. U:BTL received two worldwide distribution deals, national broadcast in Canada, and Video on Demand release on the Canadian east coast throughout 2009 – 2010.
As head of the Canadian production company Capital C Motion Pictures Inc., Carolyne has received funding from Movie Central, BCFilm and Telefilm Canada. Currently, Carolyne is in development with the Western entitled The Last Pass at Redemption.
