The Women In the Director’s Chair (WIDC) initiative came together as a result of an initial collaboration among three organizations, ACTRA, The Banff Centre and Women In Film and Television Vancouver. Here is a showcase of the individuals behind the original pilot session of WIDC and those who helped shepherd WIDC through twenty-one years of offering mentorship, development and production awards for women screen directors in Canada.
