About

Born in Paris, France, she started her career in Saint-Boniface with Les Productions Rivard in 1999. Her documentary on Franco-Manitoban literature, Le Blé Et La Plume, received two 2001 Blizzard awards for best non-dramatic directing and for best cinematography. Laurence has studied dramatic writing and directing at the Institut national de l’image et du son in Montreal, and at the Women In the Director’s Chair Workshop at the Banff Center under internationally-reknown Canadian director Léa Pool.
