An award-winning writer, director, producer, Wendy’s first feature film, Black Swan which she wrote, directed and produced, was theatrically released and distributed by Lions Gate Films and Porchlight Entertainment in 2003. To date, it’s sold to over 25 countries. Black Swan played to sold out audiences at the Atlantic Film Festival, Sarasota Film Festival, Filmstock in London UK, and several others including the New York Indi FVF where it WON Best Actress and Best Cinematography. Black Swan WON Best Director and Best Production at the Music and Film in Motion FF. Her long form script for Charlie’s Fire (HANGDOG) WON Best Screenplay that same year at MFM. She was the first female first A.D. in Canada and as such has hundreds of hours of film and television to her credit. She’s worked with directors and actors of international regard, from Jack Lemon to Gerard Butler. She was the visionary behind a website with WIFT and the DGC launched at Toronto Film Festival, www.canadianfilmmaker.com. She oversaw and line-produced the award winning feature AMAL for Telefilm Canada and was field producer on Sturla Gunnarsson’s Force of Nature amongst others. Her short film Toro, starring David Suziki has toured festivals widely.

Selected for the 2011 WIDC CAM workshop, the recipient of the WIDC BANFF Fellowship Award and the CMPA’s Los Angeles Market Accelerator Award, she and producing partner Glen Samuel are poised to make their 2nd feature film.
